2017 was an extremely successful year for us at Logistical Building Services (Electrical), with much of the year being dedicated to our work on three London based projects, all featuring high-rise luxury apartment blocks, at Lombard Wharf, Blackfriars Circus, and Greenland Place. While Blackfriars Circus continues to progress, with one block left to complete, both Lombard Wharf and Greenland Place were completed in 2017. In the latter half of the year we were awarded the entire project, consisting of four blocks, at The Podium in Battersea and the first two phases of internal plumbing work at Upton Gardens in Newham. These two projects, alongside Blackfriars Circus, will be the focus of 2018.

In July, we held our annual summer barbecue at Kings Restaurant in Botley with a record number of attendees including many of our employees, sub-contractors, and their families. With pony rides, a bubble man, and bouncy castle available for the children (and some adults too!) and a live singer in the evening, the barbecue provided us all with the chance to meet many of our team’s families and for our office based team at Swanwick to meet with the Project Managers and teams from London.

Our Christmas party this year was held at the Medieval Banquet in London, offering a different type of event to our usual choice of celebration. We would like to thank everyone who attended and made it such an enjoyable evening, with entertainment including singing, dancing, and contortionists. This year we also held a Medieval Fancy Dress competition and we would like to thank all those who took part and came dressed as Zorro, Maid Marion, and Robin Hood. Congratulations to our Site Secretary Maxine who won the prize of dinner for two on board the Bateaux Thames River Cruise.

We would like to thank all our employees and sub-contractors for their hard work throughout 2017 and hope they all have had a relaxing break over the festive season. We wish them all a very Happy New Year as we enter our tenth year of trading in 2018.
